Welcome to the Haig School Website.

We hope that you can easily find all the information that you require. A lot of time and effort has gone in to making this website as useful and informative as possible: however, we are always looking for ways to improve it, so please do not hesitate to contact our school office if there is anything else you would like to see on it, or if you have any other general enquiries – 0049 (0)5241 843840 or email sce.haig@sceschools.com

This site should give both parents and students a flavour of what you can expect from Haig School. At the very heart of our school we aim to provide a lasting educational experience for all children, to make learning enjoyable and to provide opportunities for all our pupils to achieve and excel as learners.

The partnership between home and school is of the utmost importance to ensure these aims are achieved. We hope that you will always feel welcome in school and that you will want to involve yourself in the life of the school.

Our regularly updated newsletters, sent home with pupils and posted on this site, will provide more detailed information about current events and about any changes that occur during the year.

We look forward to your visit so you can experience the positive and friendly atmosphere of Haig School for yourself!

      Visit of The Victorian Man

'The Victorian Man' travels around English primary schools to bring some hands-on experience to children studying the Victorian period. Recently, he travelled over to visit our Year 6 pupils: read Lloyd's recount below to find out more.

      Visit of Titch Theatre

On Friday 8th March, Titch Theatre came to Haig School!

For Key Stage 1, they performed a play called 'Splish'. Lakeer and Deborah, from Penguins class, explained the story to me.

There were two sisters, Minter and Molly, and Mr Moriarty. Mr Moriarty didn't like the weather and threatened to be nasty to Minter if it didn't change. But Mr Moriarty sometimes told fibs, and when that happened, one of our teachers hit him in the face with a pie!

Mr Moriarty was told that if he answered a question correctly, he would be sent to a land where there was no weather, which he would really like. But he kept getting the answers wrong, and he got paint all over his face...no wonder he was grumpy!

In the end, Minter gave Mr Moriarty a new umbrella, and he found he quite liked the nasty weather after all!
